About Print & Signage
Print is still where a lot of local businesses win customers. A menu on a table, a leaflet through a door, a sign above a shopfront and a programme in someone's hand all do work a website can't. The catch is that print is unforgiving. Once it's on the press, a wrong colour profile or a missing 3mm of bleed is an expensive reprint.
I design and prepare print artwork properly, then manage production so what arrives is what was approved. That covers everyday stationery and hospitality collateral through to larger format work: roller banners, exhibition graphics, shopfront signage and vehicle livery. I've produced matchday programmes for a Scottish league football club, treatment menus for beauty studios, café menus, trade leaflets and a local business magazine of my own.
If the identity is already in place, print work flows straight from it. If it isn't, branding comes first. Print is the least forgiving place to discover your logo doesn't reproduce at small sizes or in a single colour.
Ideal For
- Hospitality venues needing menus and in-house collateral
- Trades and local services needing cards, leaflets and van graphics
- Clubs and venues producing programmes and event material
- Retail businesses fitting out or refreshing a shopfront
How It Works
- Specification: Sizes, finishes, stock, quantities and deadlines agreed first, since these drive both the design and the cost.
- Design: Artwork built to the correct specification from the outset, working from your brand assets.
- Proofing: Digital proofs for approval, with a careful pass over copy, contact details and prices before anything reaches a press.
- Production: Artwork supplied print-ready, or production managed on your behalf through to delivery or installation.
Print & Signage for Clients

In My Own Ventures
Businesses from my own portfolio where this work was done first-hand rather than for a client.
- WhoDuzz: A local magazine created to advertise local businesses within the community.
- Kings Cup®: A drinking game based on Ring of Fire that sells on Amazon, TikTok, and eBay, bringing fun to social gatherings.
Pricing
Print & Signage is quoted individually on scope, complexity and timeline, and there are no fixed packages. Work starts from £500.
Print & Signage: Frequently Asked Questions
Do you arrange the printing, or just supply artwork?
Either. Some clients have a printer they like and simply need correct print-ready files. Others prefer the whole thing handled, in which case production is managed through to delivery.
Can you design signage and vehicle graphics?
Yes. Shopfront signage, window graphics, banners, exhibition stands and vehicle livery are all covered, supplied to your signwriter or fitter's specification.
What do you need from me to start?
Your brand assets if you have them, the copy and images you want to include, and the practical details: size, quantity, finish and when you need it.
Can you reprint or amend something designed by someone else?
Usually yes, provided the original artwork files exist. If only a flattened PDF or a JPEG survives, the artwork may need rebuilding, which is often a good moment to review the design anyway.
